Deubel 2UP Customer - A story by Mathieu Taris
“I’ve been on two wheels all my life, motocross first, and I got addicted to mountain biking during a trip in Vancouver. A mate asked me if I was keen to ride North Shore stuffs and I was hooked. I bought my first mountain bike the week after.
I met Sebastien Deubel while racing Downhill, before All Mountain or Gravity Enduro arrived in Australia, and I thought to myself ‘whose that fast dude on a small bike?’ I asked for a test ride and I couldn’t believe how much fun the 2UP was to ride. The suspension felt so plush and so responsive whilst pedalling. The geometry was just perfect to me. Immediately I felt confident and even more so after I bought my 2UP.
There seems to be a lot of talk about 29er’s and 650B’s. I have tried twice riding both. But I can honestly say I prefer 26” wheels as I am into Gravity Enduro riding, which is a very playful style, where small wheels and low centre of gravity bikes are more efficient to me. I even got 1st place riding my 2UP, in the Expert category at the Rocky Trail Rollercoaster at Stromlo this July. That pretty much sums up how I feel about my 2UP !”
